Thanks Shaadi.com for this opportunity. I had enrolled as a paid member on Shaadi.com in November 2016- i made my profile and managed it on my own. I saw Deepawal's profile in May 2017 and send out the interest as he ticked all the boxes for the kind of boy i was looking for. Numbers were exchanged, stalking happened on social media and we started talking over phone and messages and it all felt good. We planned to meet on 18th May and then i was also looking for a job. Our meeting included having our favorite drink at two different restaurants-Chai. We both just love Chai. Then we went for a drive in my car and concluded our meeting with a glass of whiskey. Everything seemed perfect with him. One can say that it was a yes at first sight. Over phone and messages we both played 100 questions to ask a boy if looking for an arranged married and we both came across having many similarities. My grandmother had said that she thinks that you will marry this guy. We met again and i was just head over heels to be with him. I love the fact he understands the challenges and respect me being the new age girl who is both career oriented and a family person. Then we involved our families and planned to meet in his hometown in Amritsar. We were treated so so nicely by his family and the same day they gave me shagun and our rokka happened. It's been now 2 months of knowing him and i have fallen in love with him completely. Can't wait to start a new beginning with him. Being Indian there was lot of pressure of getting married as i was close to turning 28. it was hard to find someone from our busy schedules and fast running life. our best option was online, so both of us decided to give it a shot as we heard lot of success stories even some our close cousins got married through it. One day when I was tired of looking someone special in Canada I decided to search someone from Australia as my brother and lot of cousins live there. I came across Manpreet's(my husband) profile and found it intriguing so sent him a request, he was very fresh on the site and regardless me being from Canada he accepted to just see whats the experience like but when we started chatting we found lot of similarities. Both of us are very focused in our career he's a businessman and has lot of dreams and i am a project Manager in telecom and has lot of dreams just like him, like retiring at early age going around the world etc. so later we decided to exchange our numbers and once we did that our first conversation went straight for 5 hours and we couldn't wait for next day, we had lot of trouble being in different time zones but still we managed to talk and FaceTime everyday. We gave each other good 4 months to get to know and finally decided to meet in person. Manpreet came to Canada in December to visit me and we decided to meet in Toronto because of our families so I flew from Saskatoon to Toronto to see him. Seeing each other for the first time we never felt like strangers in fact we felt we knew each other from long time.we were so comfortable and we got to spend so much time together that in a week we involved out parents and decided to get married. Our parents are in India so they decided to meet each other even Manpreet went to India and my parents met him and did a small ceremony to finalize everything. we decided to get married in Canada but we planned to do a small simple wedding due to personal reasons. we got married in Canada on 11th july 2017 we still can't thanks enough Shaadi.com that we found each other.
